About EGN Systems – Bespoke Software Development

My name is Eugene Mulligan and I develop bespoke software applications through my company, EGN Systems Limited. I have been designing, developing and delivering software solutions for over 25 years.

Whilst most of that time has been spent running my own consulting business, I have also worked at investment banks and software houses (one of which I co-owned) in London. My clients have ranged from small local businesses to major financial institutions in the UK, Europe and SE Asia.

My philosophy for delivering successful projects is to:

• appreciate my clients’ circumstances and understand their requirements;
• work alongside my clients to ensure they are fully informed at every step;
• keep to schedule and budget;
• make sure that the end product is intuitive and user-friendly; and
• provide follow-up support and maintenance.

Now based near Ilminster in Somerset, my work focuses mainly on building web-based products. This covers anything from simple brochure websites to complex bespoke applications. Much of the emphasis is on the design of underlying databases and the development of data management tools to drive these applications. I also undertake occasional Microsoft Access projects to help small businesses and organisations move on from over burdened spreadsheets or redundant processes and get a better grip on their data.

In the South West my client base consists of small businesses, educational establishments, charities and local communities.
